Shell Be’s Jambalaya Hack

For all my southern food lovers, this hack is awesome when you’re in the mood for some Jambalaya but don’t want to spend hours making it. It takes about 15-minutes in total to have a delicious bowl of Jambalaya, plus it’s a healthy-ish version too. Are you in need a game-day dish?! This one is super easy for any game-day feasting.

Serving Size: 4


What you need:

1 bag of Cajun Spice Right Rice

1 pack of Andouille sausage or smoked sausage


What you do:

  1. Cook the Cajun Spice Right Rice by following the instructions on the package.

  2. While the Right Rice is cooking, cut the sausage in slices, and then cut those into halves (see picture).

  3. In a pan, heat about 1 tsp of avocado oil on medium heat. Add the cut sausage, cook about 1-minute each side, and repeat once more until the sausage is slightly crisped (see picture).

  4. Once the Right Rice is finished cooking, mix in the cooked sausage. Serve and enjoy!

 

OPTIONAL: Add in other fixings, like shredded chicken, cooked tomatoes, cooked green bell peppers
